Nota de aplicación

Sparkling wine named for the region of Champagne in northeastern France where it is traditionally produced. The term is frequently applied generically to other sparkling wines, with restrictions, outside France. In the United States, sparkling wines made in a similar manner are designated by place of origin, as in New York state champagne, or elsewhere as “champagne-style.”
