Nota de aplicación

Sedimentary deposits which contain large amounts of preserved fossils. Paleontologists divide them into two subtypes: Konservat-Lagerstätten and Konzentrat-Lagerstätten. The latter relates to desposits of fossils that are concentrated by sedimentological processes which do not preserve details (such as organs), and the former refers to deposits containing a large concentration of fossils that are exceptionally well-preserved.
