Name given to a mixture used for stone consolidation. It was introduced to the field of conservation in the late 1970s in Bologna, Italy. The Bologna cocktail consists of an acrylic resin copolymer and a partially prepolymerized dimethylpolysiloxane in a solvent mixture.
