glow discharge optical emission spectrometry
Nota de aplicación
Optical emission spectral analysis technique in which excitation employs glow discharge, a plasma created by passing an electric current between metal electrodes in a tube containing a gas. In GD-OES a sample located in the cathode is bombarded by a glow discharge lamp. Sputtered neutral atoms excited in the plasma give off characteristic light in deexcitation which is collected by a spectrophotometer.
