Jerarquías

Writing system originally used for the Sogdian language and derived from the Syriac writing system. It is a consonantal writing system, in each symbol stands for a consonant, leaving the reader to supply the appropriate vowel. The script consists of 17 consonants, many of which have alternate forms for initial, middle, and final position.
