Definición
Subspecies of buckthorn plant found in Mediterranean European countries. The berries historically have been used as medicine and to produce a yellow-green dye; in export it was often named for a French origin. In some classifications, R.infectoria is considered a synonym of R.saxatilis rather than a subspecies; in other classifications, it has been considered a separate species.
