Deciduous hardwood from the fast-growing trees of genus Paulownia. It is dimensionally stable and naturally resistant to termites. Paulownia wood has been used traditionally as material for Japanese 'tansu,' footwear, musical instruments, decorative moldings, and as structural elements in building construction.
