Distinctive culture of ancient Sardinia, dating 1900-400 BCE. It is characterized by, among other things, thousands of truncated conic structures made of huge blocks of basalt taken from extinct volcanoes; it predates the Phoenicians, who arrived here ca. 800 BCE.
