Ring-shaped extrusions or objects that are positioned below the opening of a bottle or other vessel from which a liquid is poured, on a candlestick or other object, with the purpose of impeding or stopping drips of the liquid from running down the body of the vessel. For drip catchers on candlesticks, use "bobeches."
