Illyrian

The style and culture of Illyria, an ancient country and later a Roman province that comprised the European eastern Adriatic coast and hinterland, inhabited by the Indo-European Illyrians. The name was apparently reference to a single Illyrian tribe that was the first to come into contact with the ancient Greeks, but the Greeks applied the name "Illyrian" to all people of similar language and customs in the area.
