Churches having a centralized, circular plan; examples are the round churches popular in Scandinavia in the 11th and early 12th centuries. For churches with a round floorplan but that are in the form of a tower, use "round-tower churches." For churches having a centralized that is polygonal rather than circular, use "polygonal churches."
